BOTOX®

BOTOX® is a FDA approved non-surgical treatment that temporarily reduces the appearance of wrinkles. BOTOX® relaxes the muscles of the face by blocking certain chemical signals from nerves, which cause muscles to contract. Overtime, the contraction of these muscles creates fine lines and wrinkles on the overlying skin. The most common facial muscles to be treated with BOTOX® are the areas around the eyes, forehead, and in between the eyebrows.

BOTOX® will temporarily decrease the appearance of these fine lines and wrinkles. In addition, BOTOX® can fix a “gummy smile” and help reduce the discomfort associated with TMJ disorders and migraines. Treatments are customized for every patient, as every patient’s facial symmetry and aesthetic desires are different. The number of injections needed depends on many factors, including the extent of the area being treated. Our clinical and aesthetic approach is to strive for BOTOX® to look natural so that no one knows you had a treatment.

Our team will numb the area that is to be treated with the BOTOX® with either a topical anesthesia, ice, or vibration anesthesia (which uses massage to reduce discomfort). We use a thin needle to inject tiny amounts of BOTOX® into your skin and muscles. Most people report minimal discomfort during the procedure.
